How To Edit Minecraft Server Files

The web-based FTP client allows you to manage your Minecraft server files with relative ease from the panel. To access your Minecraft server files using the web client, navigate to FTP File Access and log in using your panel password. After MINECRAFT EGGWARS SERVERS , you'll be directed to your home directory. Navigating Your Server Files Navigating through server files is similar to what you would do on your desktop. In the center is the directory structure. We can navigate to, choose and modify our files from here. Click the respective folder to open it and browse its contents. To edit a File , we click Edit. To download, we click the actual name of the file. You will find options to manage the files that you have selected at the top. Once you have the selected items checked , you can issue certain actions to them like: Move - Move selected files into another directory on your server. Delete - Permanently delete selected files. Copy Make a copy the files you've selected Rename - Rename selected files. Download - Download selected files in an archive format. Zip - Archive selected files and save onto the server. Unzip and extract the contents of an archive and save it to the directory that you are currently in. Edit - Edit the respective file using the built-in text editor. Create New Folder and Files You can create new folders or files directly from your panel using the New Dir or New File Upload option in the left-hand side menu. New Dir - Create a fresh folder (directory). New File - Create a new plain text file. Upload - Upload a collection of files or an archive. You can only upload single files using the Upload option. You cannot upload entire folders. Uploading a whole folder will require you to first archive it and then use the unzip option. Limitations The web-based FTP client is fast and easy for server edits and uploads. However, it is not without its limitations. When you commit changes to your server files or uploading files, you are using the web page of the panel as an intermediary for exchange of files. This means that you are restricted in the amount of you can upload in one session. The limit is 50mb. Any file commit or upload greater than this limit must be done with an external FTP client such as Filezilla. Third-party clients such as Filezilla don't have a limit on file size, as it connects directly with your server files instead of the web-based FTP client.
